On August 4, 2003, something happened to our family that changed our lives forever.  We were involved in an accident that took the lives of two of our children, Philip and Sara, and seriously injured me (Paul Bunke) and our son PJ.

This website is dedicated to several things:

  1. To share with each visitor the grace of God in enabling us to get through this trial with love and gratitude for all of our blessings, including the greatest one of all--the knowledge that we will one day be reunited with our children because of their (and our) faith in Jesus Christ.

  2. To share with each visitor a little glimpse into the life of this family.  We consider ourselves very blessed, with a houseful of love and with our lives full of friends and family, who love us very much, feel our hurts, and rejoice when we rejoice.

  3. To remind each visitor of the things that are truly important in life: family, friends, and peace with God.

The memorial service for Philip and Sara was held August 11, 2003 at Temple Baptist Church in Mt. Airy, North Carolina.
